Mr. Hat Presents a Blues Blowout to help you get over the Valentine's Day Blues. Come dance and drown your sorrows and get happy at Toot's in Sugartown the day after Valentine's Day with Crockett's own DB & The Hotsheets and the world-renowned Vince Agwada Band. Mr. Hat will be grilling Panini for your dining pleasure, and Toot's is a friendly spot nestled next to the Carquinez Bridge with cheap drinks, a pool table, a big dance floor, kind people and a giant Grizzly Bear that doesn't bite.
8 pm doors and Panini Pop-Up, Vince Agwada Band 8:30-10, DB & The Hotsheets 10:15 till late. Tickets are only $20 for reserved seats (pick your seat, limited seats available) or $10 for GA.
Vince has toured internationally playing major venues and festivals both as a leader and with a veritable who’s who of the genre’s premiere acts including Bernie Mac the first mainstream comedian to tour with his own band, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Koko Taylor, The Mighty Dells, former Rolling Stone Sugar Blue, Zora Young, Jimmy Johnson, Son Seals, Magic Slim and Larry McCray. Industry-leading publication, Living Blues Magazine, once voted him one of the top 40 young Blues artists in the country.
DB And The Hotsheets is a new High Energy Blues Band featuring Rich Niven, Dan Bruce, Greg Macchi, Lorne Salt and Crockett's own Joey Howell.
Toot's Sugartown is a charming spot for live music in Crockett on the Carquinez, home of C&H Sugar. Local legend has it that the town is built above giant sugar caverns. You can get grilled cheese and paninis at the show as well as cheap drinks, or bring in pizza from across the street, or if you are feeling fancy stop first at the Bull Valley Roadhouse up the road in Port Costa for a nice dinner before the show, they also have a hotel if you want to spend the night and enjoy a weekend adventure on the Carquinez
